Mobile Credential Subscription


HID, the company which provides our mobile credentials, has changed the way they manage mobile credentials.  Previously, a mobile credential was paired with a mobile device and any changes to the device would require the user to consume a new credential and incur a fee. HID has now moved to an annual subscription model for mobile credentials.  Each user has an annual subscription where the number of device-changes within a subscription period will no longer incur an additional fee. 

If a user loses their device, upgrades their phone, re-installs the application, etc., there will be no additional fee as long as the subscription is active.  Users will still need to request a new credential for any of those circumstances but there will be no additional cost like there has been in the past. 

The cost of each annual subscription is based per credential holder.  The annual period is between September 1 and August 31 of the following year. Each owner will be assessed the fee for each mobile credential holder associated to their Unit (if any).  See the published fee schedule.

FOB Fees

The one-time fee per FOB.  This fee includes the cost of procuring and provisioning the devices.  See the published fee schedule.
